Do you know what keeps me going every time I travel? The world itself! Knowing that there are other marvelous places, waiting to be seen with my own eyes. And then, when I go to a new place, guess what, I love seeing it clean and nice, with happy, shiny people, sharing positive energy at every step. Even if the weather is awful (remember my 8-day adventure in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Slovakia!), it’s amazing to see how everyone can still live a happy life and share nice sentiments with the rest of the world, even if it’s just a random pedestrian’s smile.

You know how many cities have their special very own unique things that there are nowhere else in the world? Well, Lisbon and its surroundings kind of have those covered, but also have things very much alike to what other cities have to offer. For some part, at least. The following paragraphs are not to be taken without consideration – they are available to show what all Lisbon has that is prominent or unique and endemic in other parts of the world. Also, this post is for you to enjoy pictures, not only words.
Let’s be honest about one thing – if we want to travel around the world, there is no way we can do this without any money spent. The only ones who can are travel influencers and people with glucose guardians – not judging, just pointing out the obvious options. For the rest of the world, money can be saved while preparing for trips or while traveling. Without any further ado, let’s jump directly into the options.
As I mentioned in one of the rare and infrequent summer posts (don’t worry, I know nobody uses summers to binge their favorite shows, let alone reading materials), I’ll be happy to provide input into how to properly plan and organize your voyages. One of the main points included, of course, budgeting, as this is the most painful part for most humans – both the “back to school” ones and us adventurers. We live in a world where most people do not want to realize that there is money for everyone – or that it multiplies when circulating. This is most likely the root cause of the scarcity of money in the world, a lack of ideas to begin with. And this is what causes most people to save on their travels by not traveling. Let’s now correct that!
“I never travel alone with my kid, so relying on my husband is a big part of our travel adventures. I do at least one “workation” per year. Typically, my kid spends most of the day with his dad and I split work in a way that lets me spend time with the two of them and still complete my tasks. I work in the morning, then take a break, go for a walk, lunch, whatever we’re doing as a family, and then do some more work at night, after my son falls asleep. We’re a well-oiled machine now, but we did have a couple of epic fails.”
Most of us have noticed it’s overly complicated to even set up priorities, let alone keep them aligned and follow through on each of them. No wonder that so many people plan to have a family of five by the age of 26, while at 33 they turn back and understand they’re not even looking for anyone to date yet. Let’s not even talk about businesses people want to run, in order to serve a higher purpose and the community. Some of these never even get created, let alone managed. In the following paragraphs, I will share how I maintain my priorities and activities – based on it, why I have enough time to travel and run a blog.
