Voyage, voyage
This year I decided to treat myself with a birthday trip to Paris. The fun thing about it is that my birthday is on October 29. You know what that means – we can’t miss Halloween! And Paris means – we can’t miss Disneyland!
But Paris and Halloween are much more than just Disneyland and a new experience (as if those two were bad). I’ve learned to enjoy the French breakfast culture, especially the croissants (even though I don’t digest pastry), their laid-back attitude, as well as to appreciate more my spare time.
As the hotel was in the center, I’ve walked around most of the sites within walking distance – but note that walking distance in the center of Paris can be up to 1h 30min. Yes, the Eiffel Tower was great, but you know what was truly magnificent? Everything else! Even moreso than the edifice – Napoleon’s grave, Arc of Triumph, Notre Dame, Louvre, Sacre Coeur, all the beautiful parks and gardens… And of course Versailles and Disneyland! (Goodness, I can’t even think how many valuable sites I’ve forgotten to mention here!)
Even more than the physical buildings, the city possesses a special vibe, like a beautiful charm, being inhaled with every passing step and scent of the trees, flowers and grass. Even though I prefer distant places, especially the Americas and East Asia, Paris has left such a strong impression, that I will tend to come back over and over again.
The story of my first time in Paris
Did you like the overall impressions I’ve had in Paris? Would you like to hear more? The Finished Projects page is not a collection of encompassing experiences I’ve had on my journeys. It is here to provide a short and sweet overview of what I’ve done lately – and how much I enjoyed it. The full story of my first time in Paris will be live in one of my (near) future posts. If you want to find out more, stay up to date by following my blog. Innovations and improvements are coming as well, so stay tuned!
