The European Capital of Color and Sound โ€“ Lisbon in 2024 (part II)

Have I mentioned how Lisbon is not a very spacious city and around 80% of the main attractions can be seen within a day? The second day of my adventure was saved for a visit to Sintra โ€“ this will be the topic of my next post. Other than that, we can walk around the spaces within the Lisbon area. So, with no further ado, letโ€™s jump directly into our Lisbon adventure.

The European Capital of Color and Sound โ€“ Lisbon in 2024

โ€ฆAnd you guessed it. In the middle of writing my second Vienna post, I left for the airport, to travel to Lisbon โ€“ with no idea of how far it truly is. A regular flight would take around four hours, but due to strong winds upon landing, it took much closer to five. Also, the local wind was so strong, not only did the plane have to circle around the airport to descend, but my head was blowing up of aches, despite not even having been outside. And then I was shocked to hear about the time zone difference. Knowing how small the continent of Europe is, Iโ€™d never expect a physical neighbor of Spain to be in a different time zone. Oh well, I may have underestimated my continent by birthright, having lived in much more spacious areas.

Three days to visit Vienna in 2024 (part II)

Picking up where we left off, the second day in Vienna is always bound to be filled with excitement and adventures. And, for a fact, it was my first time to stay in Vienna overnight. My happiness was endless, especially after the unforgettable moments in Belgium and the Netherlands (in particular Antwerp!). Vienna definitely falls into the same category as the above-mentioned Antwerp or Barcelona. Although all three cities have their own unique experiences to offer, and vary 100% in their atmosphere, all three are European cities with a strong presence, souls of their own, if you will. You are never alone in these three cities, as the city itself will always accompany you, by walking along your side.

Three days to visit Vienna in 2024 (part I)

Vienna is one of my favorite European cities because, at the same time, itโ€™s the most and the least European city out there. On one hand, all the architecture is strictly European in style. On the other hand, so many non-natives, as well as not very European traditions guide the cityโ€™s atmosphere. For example, Christmas decorations, in the holiday season. Sure, you will find most locations around the world decorated during โ€œthe most wonderful time of the yearโ€. However, Vienna will resemble New York from the โ€œHome aloneโ€ franchise, unlike the remainder of places of the Old Continent.

End of an Era or a New Beginning

Bratislava vs. Prague โ€“ Choose your travel destination for 2024! Central European edition

Why is it so popular to talk about things in comparison to one another? And why should 2024 destinations be decided upon a personal opinion of a travel blogger? Itโ€™s quite simple โ€“ it shouldnโ€™t. Generally, I donโ€™t like writing about destinations that didnโ€™t leave a big impression on me โ€“ and I think itโ€™s noticeable from my blog, and 3-5 posts from my favorite destinations. Yet, I am always grateful to visit a mediocre destination, or even one that I donโ€™t like in the end. Why? Well, because then itโ€™s my personal judgement that I am not a fan, rather than something I read and decided to acquire. Which I encourage all of you to do, as well.
